Dimapur, March 8 (EMN):
Tuensang Police department led by the Superintendant of Police and SDPO distributed first aid kit box to taxi and truck drivers for safety measures.

Speaking to Eastern Mirror, the traffic officer in-charge of Tuensang said that they distributed the kits so that it might come handy wherever they travel or meet with any untoward incidents. Citing instances of the drivers getting injure in accidents or the passengers fall sick while travelling, he informed that 150 first aid boxes were distributed to the drivers from March 1-3.

He shared that they distributed to all the taxi and truck drivers who ply to different regions like Kohima, Mokokchung and others. He informed that there has been no major accidents leading to deaths in their area, adding “even before that there are not many road accidents” except for some minor accidents.

He informed that they have conducted seminar to drivers regarding about road safety even this year. He further advised the drivers not to drink and drive and also drive carefully especially while travelling with passengers to avoid any untoward accidents.
