Tuensang gets street vendors market

Dimapur, Aug. 17 (EMN): The additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Tuensang and chairman District Urban Development Agency (Duda), Ajit Kumar Verma, inaugurated a street vendors market at Officers colony in Tuensang town on August 15.

According to an update issued by the DPRO Tuensang, the street vendors market was constructed by Duda through SUDA under the scheme 'support to Urban Street Vendors' of the National Urban Livelihood Mission.

Speaking at the inaugural event, Verma lauded the department for maintaining quality in the construction work and urged the public to take good care of the asset so that it benefits them and the urban poor, which is the targeted population of NULM Scheme.

The programme was chaired by the urban development officer and secretary of Duda, Tuensang, Wachusie Katiry. The market was formally handed over to the ADC Tuensang, who is also the Administrator of TTC.
