Dimapur, Aug. 11 (EMN): A new Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) for Tuensang was inaugurated Aug. 10, by the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Jamithung Lotha, who is also the chairman of district Health society Tuensang.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the DC told the people to avail medical services in UPHC. He also requested all ward presidents to cooperate for betterment of UPHC.
Dr.Thangloi, SPO (NHM), in his speech said that the centre will not served only nearby areas but also everyone to avail the services in UPHC.
Nodal Officer, (NUHM) Dr.Puse Leigesie, said that the approval of the UPHC is to provide the facilities and outreach activities. He also advised the wards in town to form the women groups, so that they can disseminate proper information to the community in order to improve health system. He also requested the UPHC staff to work sincerely for the benefits of the people.
