Tuensang DTCC conducts tobacco-free posters campaign

Dimapur, Aug. 21 (EMN): In continuation with its tobacco-free drive, the District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) Tuensang conducted a posters campaign in Tuensang on Saturday, an update from the district medical officer informed.

During the campaign, a short programme was held at District Hospital Tuensang, where Chief Mediacal Officer Dr. Moatemjen emphasised on the effects of tobacco consumption and hazards of spitting in public places, as it could increase the spread of the Covid-19. He also encouraged the district hospital staff to make the hospital a tobacco-free zone.

During the programme, Noklak Senior Medical Officer Dr. Victor, DNO Nagaland Tobacco Control Programme Dr. Chenithung and Medical Officer Dr. Imlong were also present along with the DTCC officials.
