Tuensang DC imposes entry restriction

Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): In view of the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the neighbouring district of Mon and as a measure to check the inflow of unregulated traffic, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Tuensang Kumar Ramnikant has informed that entry to Tuensang via Taithung nula will be allowed only for procurement of essential goods and for medical emergencies.

Entry will be allowed only under the following conditions:

•           Entry for procurement of essential goods and commodities shall be allowed only on Monday to Thursday between 6 am to 10 am. All such entries shall be permitted only on the production of valid travel permits issued by competent authority.

•           For medical emergencies, entry shall be allowed any day/time of the week. However, all such entries shall be allowed only on the production of valid travel permits issued by competent authority and necessary medical papers.

•           All travellers are to maintain social distancing, wearing mask and comply to after health safety measures issued by the government.
