In her final answer on the theme, Lamheing expressed that elegance transcends physical appearance and that, in today’s context, “elegance is reflected through one’s character and inner values rather than outward beauty alone”.
The programme was attended by Khaoshai Lam, SDO, PHED, Longkhim, as the special guest.
Reflecting on the quote “A thing of beauty is a joy forever,” he highlighted that true beauty is rooted in reconciliation, understanding, and dedication. He emphasised that beauty is not merely about outward appearance but the embodiment of inner qualities that radiate purpose and responsibility.
Stressing the role of Miss Khiamniungan, Lam stated that the titleholder is expected to redefine elegance by upholding strong values, serving as a voice for the voiceless, and advocating social awareness.
He expressed hope that the newly crowned Miss Khiamniungan would inspire young girls and stand for noble causes, adding that genuine beauty is ultimately reflected in one’s commitment and dedication to duty.
