Dimapur, Feb. 12 (EMN): The chairman and members of Tsiepfutsiepfhe Council along with GBs of AG colony, Kohima during a meetong on Feb. 11 passed the following resolution in connection with forthcoming election to maintain peace and tranquillity in the colony. A press release from the chairman on Mon. stated.
Keeping in mind the interest of students’ communities where many students will be appearing board and university examinations, the council has resolved that no political parties will be allowed to organise or setup camps within the colony during election.
It also decided that only genuine voters in the colony will be entitled to cast vote and no proxy voting will be entertained. The house has resolved to strictly adhere to ‘one man one vote’
The Tsiepfutsiepfhe Council and GBs shall take stern action deems appropriate against any members of the colony or outsiders violating the stated resolution, the press release stated.
