Dimapur, November 11 : The Chang Students Union Tuensang Town (CSUTT) has expressed shock to see the sudden repair of roads in and around Tuensang which remained neglected for a long time despite several complaints.
Stating that the filling up of potholes specifically done prior to the visit of Governor is not a new thing for them, CSUTT president Bhukyim and executive member W Lemba, in a release, on Friday stated that union in particular and the public in general are greatly disappointed to see the “ill attitude” towards the people of Tuensang.
It said if the department or the government were really concerned about the general public of Tuensang the repairing of roads should have been taken up years back. Asking why now, the union said the department concerned and the government should be answerable to the people.
Where was the department or the government when the entire citizens of Tuensang were going through so much inconvenience due to pathetic road conditions, the union further asked. It said this trend of ignorance and negligence towards the people should be stopped.
The union further appealed to the Governor to address to the grievances being faced by the people of Tuensang.
