The Tseminyu DPDB approved forwarding a proposal for a District Sports Office and residential quarter, while reviewing preparations for the Governor’s visit and Reform Utsav.
DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Tseminyu, was held at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall on Friday under the chairmanship of MLA and DPDB Chairman Jwenga Seb.
Addressing the meeting, Seb called upon district officers to remain sincere and committed to their duties and discharge their responsibilities effectively for the welfare of the people, according to a DIPR report.
Following a review of the minutes of the previous meeting, the board discussed a proposal for the construction of a District Sports Office and a residential quarter at Tseminyu.
After deliberating on the district’s immediate requirements, the board agreed to forward the proposal to the government for consideration and approval.
The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and Power department were also apprised of the need to prepare plans for water supply and power requirements for the proposed office and residential quarter.
The meeting further discussed the proposed visit of the Governor to Tseminyu on September 30, as well as preparations for the launch of Reform Utsav scheduled for October 1.
The Labour department also made a PowerPoint presentation on its activities and programmes conducted in Tseminyu district, which was followed by discussions and interactions with board members.
