- DIMAPUR — The
monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Tseminyu was
held on January 21 at the DC conference hall under the chairmanship of Jwenga
Seb, MLA and chairman of the DPDB Tseminyu.
- The meeting was presided over by Rohit Singh, DC and vice
chairman of the DPDB Tseminyu, according to a DIPR report.
- The chairman, on the occasion, welcomed the board members
and newly posted officials in the district: Mhathung Ngullie, Celina Thal, BDO,
and Christopher Chale, STO.
- The meeting commenced with a review of the previous
meeting's minutes, where the board discussed a proposal for the acquisition of
500 acres of land for the establishment of government departments under
Tseminyu district. A committee was set up, headed by the DC, EAC, and the
president of the Rengma Hoho.
- In connection with the scarcity of water supply in the
district, the board discussed the construction of check dams at various
locations. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Social Welfare department presented their
respective departmental activities and achievements initiated in the district.
- The Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services
will present their departmental activities at the next DPDB meeting.
