DIMAPUR — The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) in Tseminyu, in coordination with the Special Juvenile Police Unit, carried out an initiative to strengthen child protection services in the district on April 22.
Under the aegis of the Tseminyu DCPU and in coordination with the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU), Child Helpline, Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Tseminyu, contact detail boards of Special Juvenile Police Unit members were installed at the SP office and Tseminyu Police Station.

The installation was carried out under the supervision of Addl. SP and Nodal Officer of the Special Juvenile Police Unit, Lanu Aier, in accordance with Rule 86(11) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Model Rules, 2016.
The rule mandates that "The names and contact details of the Special Juvenile Police Unit or Child Welfare Police Officer shall be placed at a conspicuous part at the police stations, Child Care Institutions, Committees, Boards and the Children's Courts."
This ensures the prominent display of contact information so that every child has unhindered access to assistance.
