This week’s Truth Speakers For Truth Seekers column is about how to stay positive amid bad news and negative situations surround us.

How quick do you believe? In a world where we are surrounded more by negative situations then positive ones, where TV channels shout the bad news more than positive ones, where billboards proclaim the solution only to fleece your pocket, social media bombards us with “shorts”, ads, and friends that seem to have nothing better to do then to get more followers, and thereby use methods that can be quite hurtful, and so on. How do we stay positive?
Peace seems to be floating away as soon as we thought we got at least some. What to believe is even more challenging. When it personally starts touching our own life, health or circumstance, some of us will be quick to adopt the negative slant or view, others the positive side.
Check your thoughts. Check your tongue! Your miracle and change of situation is right there.
This week, there was again a huge revival Healing festival in the neighbouring State- Meghalaya. Many people turned up, and many were willing to stand for hours in cues, traffic jams and more. The cold did not seem to hinder people from coming and many people testified of their healing and their life changed, even on line when people only watched and received their miracle. Many turned their lives around and got healed even on the way home. In spite of these facts, the bystanders seem or those coming up in the coming days, are and will not be able to see the hand of God in all this. And so, they mock and will find something negative.
I chose to rejoice for every person that got touched and I choose to believe that everyone did in some way. And never be the same again. Including myself, although I was not physically there. I am blessed. I am changed. I will be that Faith Champion God desires to have for His Kingdom!
In the Bible, Jeremiah – a Prophet- was given a message of impending doom. He was weary of sharing it since because of it, he got persecuted and mocked. He said though that God’s word was like fire in his bones and that he could not contain it. He HAD to share it and say it. Why such a negative message had to be shared through him? Because the Children of Israel had gone astray from God so far that God was trying to warn them through Jeremiah they would have their enemy on their doorstep soon after, unless they repented and turned back to Him so He could protect them.
The Word shared this week was one that seemed like fire in the bones of Apostle Ankit Sajwan. However, His message was one of Hope and encouragement and what to do if faced with a negative situation. It all starts with: What do you really believe and see inside of you? What are you so quick to say because of that?
Some need to open their mouth quicker to speak what God would say about that circumstance (Jeremiah 29:11, Deut 28:1-14! Eph 1:3). Others should shut their month so people do not have to listen to those negative comments and unbelief and those saying it, do not have to see the outcome in real because of their words.
A Bible verse often quoted in Faith circles is Mark 11: 22-24. Jesus once spoke negative to a fig tree. Why?
A fig tree that should have been bearing fruit, especially when the Creator of it, would pass by, fooled the Creator by having none, in spite its’ leaves. Jesus response to that was: “OK, if you cannot honour me with the figs you pretend to have, you will have none hereafter.” Jesus expected the tree to respond. It did so by withering up. The disciples were amazed that just some words made the tree wither up. Jesus’ answer to that was: Have faith in God! (The Father heard me) And that Father that will help us all IF we believe it and put the same into practice. “Father, you always hear me. Thank You for healing me already, providing for me, thank you for protecting me!”)
How many times had the fig tree fooled others? The next day the tree was withered. This was an illustration that our words have tremendous power, either way.
Some believers are quick to believe their statements, grumblings and murmurs about the governance, celebrities, famous people and all the negative stuff going on. But when they pray, it flips to something positive. What are they really believing? The negative or positive? Then when some negative situation happens, is it because they had been stating it so many times?
Jesus taught His disciples: “Truly (Truthfully) I (Jesus) say to you, Whosoever (meaning anyone) shall say unto this mountain (meaning the difficulties in their lives or bodies) “BE YOU REMOVED”, and be you mountain (difficulty) be cast into the sea (in other words you can even command that difficulty to move somewhere where it can do no harm) and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.
What do you want to come to pass? Speak THAT. Especially the last evening, when the Word was shared for 2-3 hours by Apostle Ankit Sajwan (January 30, 2026), the above was emphasised in a powerful way. (You can still watch it on YouTube)
Many responded. Praise God. Many got healed. They got a hold of a truth that seems to have been buried for so long under a mountain of negativity and fear.
Let’s start speaking to our mountains of situations that we want to see turn around. May this hope and practice carry on till negative situations are indeed turned around wherever you are, because we have learned to speak what we can believe for, what God believes, and what many people want but nullify through their words and grumblings.
We all want to be blessed! According to God’s Word, you are already. Do you believe it and say it? But you say “It does not look like it? I am suffering. I don’t have much. Etc etc.” Let me ask you, when it is dark, do you say: “It is so dark, I wish there was light”. And keep waiting till someone turns on the light switch or not even knowing if there is one? You turn it on! And there is light! (or a flash light or candle. If nothing else, wait till morning, have a good night sleep and God’s light will faithfully come on again)
Here are few key scriptures for anyone to ponder upon that you CAN be blessed. I would suggest, to picture them and then say them over yourself and say: “I believe, I receive”. You ARE blessed if you dare to speak it out till the image of a blessed you forms in your inner man. You ARE included, whosoever you are.
