Strange question or is it? When calamity or tragedy strikes a society, community or a family, our hearts should break. When we look at world news, we can get numb to the amount of evil that is being portrayed day after day. We can get numb because it is not in our vicinity. Daniel Kolando inspired me this week to shed light on a topic that most have talked about the last few weeks – the death of Charlie Kirk.

If in just a week’s time, there can be another school shooting, a women is being murdered in plain daylight, more wars started raging, and so much more evil and thousands of lives are lost in just a week’s time, fear can start to grip you or you can get numb or you shut yourself of from it.

What looks like “normal” behaviour today, seemed impossible10 years back. Saying “The world is so evil today”, implying that we can’t do anything about it, is accepting a standard that is way below God’s one and allowing evil to flourish around you. Evil does not triumph because evil is evil. There has always been evil. Evil triumphs because good men and women refuse to speak out! In the 9/11 days at the turn of this century, people thought that the greatest threat we were facing was radical religion (decide for yourself which one that is). Not so! The greatest threat is lukewarm Christianity. Any darkness cannot stand the light and will never overcome it. IF the church – if Christians- those not afraid to call themselves that- would start to speak out for truth, darkness will not be able to stay. Families will change, villages will too, and the truth proclaimed.

By now, we all have heard of Charlie Kirk’s story, of his tragic death. Being shot in his neck.

Was that “the will of God?” Was God outwitted and now has his back against the wall?

When will men wake up to the fact that this world was “leased” to men for a certain period of time- to be ruled, maintained, stewarded in the way HE had in mind. Which is good, righteous, without evil, orderly, peaceful, in harmony and full of the God kind of love. (Which has NOTHING to do with lust. But today, the moral has gone down so low that people confuse lust with love)

Right now, we could rule this world the right way. But overall, men choose to do just the opposite of all the above.

It seems we live in a world, filled with lust, unrighteousness, occupied with evil, chaos all around us, wars escalating conflicts and disorder rising, and hatred being the norm of the day.

Am I saying that true Christianity is the only solution? If you have ever experienced the light, the pure light, experienced THE Light, you know that nothing else can chase the darkness around you.

Ask yourself a different question. How is it that those claiming to have experienced the Light, seen the light and proclaiming the light and standing up for it, been the ones that are silenced, shut up, persecuted, unlawfully mis-treated and not been allowed to practice and say what they stand for? Just to help people.

Could it be that the truth hurts too much? It is the hit dog that howls. It is the voices that dare to speak truth and stand up for what is right, whether it is education, family values, the political arena, the medical world, the church and religion, arts and entertainment and business.

Charlie Kirk was one who was not afraid to speak truth in front of the people that wanted him dead. He was not afraid to debate political issues, hot topics of the day and challenging questions. But amidst it all He always lifted up the One that was the centre of it all. Jesus Christ, the Light of the World and the light that all Christians should carry and reflect.

Charlie got hit by a carefully aimed bullet in his neck, the very part where the voice box resides.

He knew every time that he was in public, boldly speaking out against social evils, but at the same time boldly speaking up for Him, there was a chance real bullets would fly. He would protect his parents and now allow them to be there where he was speaking so no one could harm them.

He took the risk because his heart was to see youngsters see the Light and get them out of darkness. Answer their burning questions. He stirred up anger because the light was too hard to bear for a generation of youngsters that had been fed by a barrage of confusing lines and stories. It had become so hard to see what was really truth. Amidst all that, Charlie would speak up, debate and intelligently rebut and speak truth.

College campuses around the States are breeding grounds for ideology that stands for all that is opposite of that which is truth, good and full of Light. What about here?

They have ruined many precious young people into a false ideology. However, behind in the shadows, the Gen Z generation, was longing for a voice to speak up and fight the battle for them. In Charlie, they finally found someone. That voice is now silenced. Forever.

Or is it? The real enemy who hates truth, always lurking somewhere in the dark, where he can only whisper his lies in ears that want lies, has always been out to silence the truth speakers. So truth seekers will not find truth and answers to their sincere questions. It is the one that inspired Charlie’s enemies to shoot that bullet.

BUT

Could it be that now millions of voices will rise up, because they are now willing to speak UP for truth, knowing they can no longer hide behind someone else?

Our State is often following the West and has followed their wrong standards many times. This time, may a young generation in our State, but also those that love truth and are not afraid to speak out either, rise up like you will see all over the world. May eagles of truth, young and old rise up. The Word of God says:  I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest. (John 12:24)

Like I often say: We can say and do the right thing if we choose the right thing.

Will you rise up and let your voice of truth be heard?

As for me, by now you should know.

Speak truth no matter what. And let the Light go forth!
