Dimapur, Dec. 12: Trios’ Home for Music celebrated Pre-Christmas with students, parents, teachers and special on December 9 at Lotha Baptist Church, Diphupar.
On the occasion, students from various disciplines presented piano, violin and guitar, vocal and special Christmas renditions. Former state chaplain Rev.Yankey Patton encouraged the children by presenting a special flute song and blessed them. Elders Pankathung Ovung and Nchumbemo Patton enthralled the gathering with trumpet duet.
Former Naga Idol finalist, Thunglamo, the vocal teacher of the music school expressed gratitude to parents for deposing faith and confidence on them by sending their children to be taught by them and sought continuous prayer support in moulding the children so that the hidden potential of their children could utilised for greater glory.
Pughoboto Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) held its meeting cum advent Christmas programme with chairman SDPDB Pughoboto and minister of R&B, Y Vikheho Swu, at the ADC’s office on December 5.During the discussion, the house decided to remind villagers on banning of lifting boulders from the river side. The Chairman also urged the house to inform all villages to declare at least one “forest reserve” for the preservation of flora and fauna in the sub-division.
The minister said maintaining natural beauty is not only in cleaning the environment but also refreshing our minds. He also wished Christmas greeting to all.
The advent Christmas was celebrated with the senior citizens above the age of 80 and Christmas gifts were given away to all the participants. The Board also gave away certificate and cash award to two government officials namely electrician Sharma and mathematics teacher Ghosh for rendering yeomen service to the area people.
Field secretary of NCRC, Pughoboto, Vibo A Sumi delivered the Christmas message. The programme was chaired by SDO (C) Namang Sepong Chang.
