STAFF REPORTER DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 15 Trio’s home for music and boarding was inaugurated today and marked by a pre-Christmas celebration observed by the faculty, children, and well wishers of the home. Major General SM IGAR (North) MM Naravane was the chief guest while Diphupar Village Council Chairman I Vitoshe Kinimi was the guest of honor of the event. Joining with the Trio’s home for music and boarding celebration, Major General MM Naravane acknowledged music to be a unifying factor and stated that music brings people together irrespective of language, religion or background. Therefore he called upon the gathering to carry this factor with them at home and to do away with the defective thoughts which is highly prevalent in the society. Emphasizing on following one’s heart, he said that one must do what one wants to do from the heart and called upon parents to let their children follow their dreams as there is no point in forcing them to do what their hearts do not allow. Impressed with the progress of the school, he hoped that it will produce many young talents professionally and set an example to follow one’s heart and desire without limits. Trio’s home for music and boarding was opened on 1st February 2014 with just 20 students and three teachers with the aim to mould and train the students to work and serve others for a good cause and support the underprivileged children. In June 2014 the school enrolled 44 students and guitar class was introduced. This was revealed by Lopilo Lotha, proprietor of Trio’s home. With the change of nomenclature from Trio’s home for music to Trio’s home for music and boarding which will be introduced from 2015, the home will introduce vocal classes, art and craft work, basic cooking classes, English Sunday classes and exposure trip for students and teachers. On the day, three music students who passed out on merit conducted by Trinity school of music, London was felicitated by the chief guest.
