The 6th Annual Sports Meet of Trinity School, Kohima, was held from the 21st – 23rd March 2016, at Police New Reserve Ground. President, Angami Students’ Union (ASU) Dievi Yano graced the inaugural function as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he cited the importance of Games and Sports through which one can improve his/her physical strength and set up a positive mental frame of mind. Further, he stated that through games and sports one can overcome adversities, built relationships and capabilities, a result of which converts a person to become a responsible personality in every aspects of life. On the day Yano urged the students to compete with true sportsmanship so as to fulfill the reasons that is been aimed and called for.The three day events were marked with events such marathon race, football, volleyball, athletics, Tug-of-War, tunnel ball race, kabbadi, throw ball, march pass, drill display and various sports activities.
At the moment, the Red House (Saramati) are leading with the Blue House (Japfu) is closed in second, whereas the Green House (Patkai) and the Yellow House (Dziikou) are third and fourth respectively.
The final result will be decided by the events that will be conducted for the lower classes scheduled to be held sometime later.
