Tribal United wins zonal round of Asian Paints North East Super 6 in Dimapur

[caption id="attachment_282789" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Members of Tribal United posing with the trophy after winning the zonal round of Asian Paints North East Super 6 in Dimapur.[/caption] Dimapur, Nov. 15 (EMN): The first edition of Asian Paints North East Super 6, held in collaboration with ISL Club NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) with associate sponsor Ceat Tyres, completed the zonal round of the tournament in Dimapur on November 9. According to an update received here on Friday, 32 teams participated in the tournament where Tribal United emerged victorious and qualify for the grand finale. The team showed great talent and swiftness in their game play winning with a score of 2-0 in the finals. The Asian Paints North East Super 6 tournament offers a national level platform for budding footballers from small towns to demonstrate their skills.  The preliminary round of the tournament is being held in nine cities across the eight north-eastern states of India till November 17 - Gangtok, Itanagar, Agartala, Aizawl, Dimapur, Shillong, Imphal, Guwahati and Silchar. The winning team in each of the cities will play at the finals in Guwahati on November 23. The zonal winners of the Asian Paints North East Super 6 tournament will receive a cash prize of INR 50,000 and the final winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of INR 1,00,000.
