Dimapur, Dec. 7 (EMN): The seventh day of this year’s Hornbill Festival at Kisama was graced by Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Jaswantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor as the chief guest.
The chief host was minister for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Metsubo Jamir and advisor to Food and Civil Supplies and Legal Meteorology, NSDMA, Pukhayi.
According to a DIPR report, Bhabhor expressed happiness to be in Nagaland and witness the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas.
“He was also happy and proud to let know that Nagaland is a part of India and one of the largest tribals in India. He further said that seeing the rich cultures of India, our Prime Minister, Modi took the initiative in organising the tribal carnival at Delhi in 2016 after achieving 25 years of Independence. So far it has been a big platform in showcasing the unity and diversity of different cultures from all over India,” the DIPR reported.
