Dimapur, Oct. 13 (EMN): Wokha district regional taxi owners, drivers and transport counters including Tiyi transport agency, Nzanchi counter, Kyong Travels, AB Travels, and Nzan counter have sternly opposed to the idea on centralisation scheme proposed by the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA).

“We opposed the idea since it is a malicious and tactical practice of the ANTA and its unit to seize control over all government registered ticketing and booking agencies under their supremacy,” a joint statement issued by Lochumbeni Kikon, Tiyi Transport Agency, and Zubenthung Ngullie, regional taxi owner, stated.

Stating that it has served for the welfare and the commuters of Wokha district for over a decade, it has affirmed to continue functioning under the government registration and authorisation with or without the ANTA as per the meeting resolution held on October 9 in Pangti Baptist Ekhumko building.
