Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): A two-day training on Planplus under the department of Rural Development was held at directorate of Rural Development Blocks, Kohima, with the Principal System Analyst of NIC, Swedesenuo Natso as the resource person.
Planplus is a software developed by NIC under the guidance and direction from Ministry of Panchayati Raj inorder to demystify and strengthen the decentralised planning process. The software is a web-based software and captures the entire planning workflow starting from identification of needs.
Delivering an introduction on Planplus, Swedesenuo Natso said Planplus captures different types of activities such as public works, beneficiary oriented programmes and costless activities and also supports need based planning rather than scheme based planning. According to him Planplus further facilitates convergence of funds from central, State sponsored schemes and other resources to address the needs of the people.
She also informed that it would assist integration of plan prepared by planning unit into a single GPDP plan document as well as facilitates tracking of FFC fund flow to GP.
Earlier, in his introductory speech, Joint Director of RD, K Neibou Sekhose, called upon all the trainees to be sincere and attentive during the training and learn everything thoroughly as they will be going back to their respective districts and blocks as master trainers. He also urged them to give effort so that the villages do not miss out on developmental activities.
