Training on paid news conducted

Imphal, Dec 29: A training programme on paid news, complaint monitoring and call centres was conducted at Kombirei Hall, DC Office, Lamphelpat today. The training session was organized by the District Election Officer (DEO) of Imphal West as a part of the second round training programme on Election Expenditure Monitoring Mechanism in connection with the forthcoming 11th State Legislative Assembly Election, in 2017. Assistant Commissioner-to-DC Waikhom Phajatombi presided over the function as master trainer. During the training session, various aspects of paid news, complaint monitoring and call centre for a free, fair and peaceful election were discussed. Nodal officer media / communications, nodal officer for expenditure / monitoring, various media and audit officials and all the members of the media cell, complaint monitoring and call centre also participated in the training programme.
