
DIMAPUR — A two-day training programme on ‘Packaging for export of food, handloom and handicraft products of Nagaland’, jointly organised by the district administration, Indian Institute of Packaging and ATMA Peren district, at New Peren headquarters on June 15.
Addressing the valedictory programme, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar encouraged all the participants to venture into entrepreneurship, stating that Peren district has the potential to tap its resources and supply to the mainlanders.
He also reassured the participants that the district administration would extend all possible held for linkages with reputed companies, a DIPR report stated.
Resource person Dr. Asitava Sur, guest faculty of IIP, Kolkata acknowledged the positive attitude of the participants and encouraged them to adopt standardised packing system to stay ahead in the competitive market.
DPD ATMA, Tonikali Achumi expressed gratitude to the organising committee of the programme and the participants who have come from far-flung areas of Peren district with hunger to assimilate knowledge.
She also acknowledged the concern shown by the ATMA Cell, Kohima.
Certificates were distributed to all the participants.
The valedictory programme was chaired by C Dory Yanthan. Yanthan thanked the deputy commissioner for conceiving such a unique programme. Feedback messages from the participants were shared by Sheela Gangmei, Calvin Zeliang, Athuana and Lipokjungla Ozukum, ATMA representative.
