JAS is the institutional counterpart of the Health Centre Management Committee (HCMC) constituted under the National Health Mission.

As the scope of services and responsibilities has expanded under the Ayushman Bharat-PHC (AB-PHC) and Sub Center-HWC (SC-HWC) levels, HCMC members are to be reconstituted per the revised guidelines after training. The new committees shall henceforth be designated as JAS-HCMC.

The HCMC chairman, secretary, and one representative from the committee under each health unit attended the six-day training.
