‘Training’ in mathematics concludes at KSC

[caption id="attachment_223109" align="alignnone" width="550"] A participant of the mathematics ‘training’ programme receives a certificate.[/caption] Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN): A week-long ‘training’ in mathematics called the “mathematics training and talent search” (MTTS) concluded on December 8 at Kohima Science College, in Jotsoma near Kohima town. The programme saw the participation of 50 students from colleges and institutes from the Northeast stated, a press release from the organisers stated. According to the updates, Prof. Bhaba Kumar Sarma of the Guwahati IIT, spoke during the valedictory session. He said that the event was one of the “best MTTS programmes” in terms of “hospitality and the participation.” Even though the level of mathematical knowledge and the background of participants vary widely all over the country, he said, he has seen “the highest increment in learning in this mini-MTTS programme” hosted by Kohima Science College. The principal of the college, Dr. Lily Sema also addressed the participants and gave away the certificates, the updates stated.
