Training for frontline healthcare workers held in Shamator

Government officials and frontline healthcare workers after
the capacity-building training on PCPNDT/ MTP Act at cultural hall in Shamator
town on March 4.
- DIMAPUR — A
capacity-building training on PCPNDT/ MTP Act for frontline healthcare workers
including Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA), Anganwadi workers (AWW) and
Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) was held on March 4 at cultural hall in Shamator
town.
- The training was organised by the District Hub for
Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Mission Shakti under Department of Social Welfare,
in collaboration with district administration, Health and Family Welfare
department and District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) to commemorate 10 years
celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP).
- A DIPR report stated that gender specialist of DHEW Mission
Shakti, Kampenla, chaired the programme, while the medical officer of CHC
Shamator, Dr. Mhathung, shared the roles and responsibilities of the frontline
healthcare workers.
- The EAC of Shamator, Kudazo Swuro, in his welcome address,
encouraged all the frontline healthcare workers, department officers and
resource persons to be proactive and organise such awareness camps and
programme more in the district in the days to come.
- It added that short speeches were also delivered by senior
supervisor, Diethozo Sanchu and the district convenor of SEWA, Toshila.
