Mokokchung district conducts one-day training for chemists and druggists.

DIMAPUR — The drug control administration under the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Mokokchung, conducted a one-day training for the chemists and druggists at the CMO’s office conference hall on October 27.
An update from the CMO stated that its deputy CMO, Dr. Takosunep Ao, has highlighted the goals and objectives of the training.
The topics covered during the training include ONDLS and NPPA, combating antibiotics resistance through rational use of antibiotics, effective drug storage: safeguarding potency, safety and compliance and pharmacist-patients relation.

Speaking at the event, the drug control officer Tsunungrenla Jamir has apprised the participants regarding the rational usage of cough syrups in pediatrics as per the guidelines issued by the central as well as state health services and departments.
The resource persons of the training were Tsunungrenla Jamir, DCO; Imlisenla Kichu, pharmacist at PHC Longsa; Nungshijungla Jamir, pharmacist at IMDH; and Jongto Aier, district pharmacy officer.
It stated that a total of 60 chemists and druggists attended the training.
