Dimapur, March 30 (EMN) : Sub division officer (civil) of Peren on Thursday inaugurated a training centre, ‘Pinnacle Skills Training Centre for Women, at Jalukie in Peren district. The centre is located in the premises of the Jalukie Town Baptist Church and will be imparting training in cutting, tailoring and apparel design.
Speaking as the chief guest of the event, Sarita Yadav appreciated the opportunity provided to women through the centre near their homes. Speaking in Nagamese, she encouraged the trainees to attend the training diligently and get the most out of it.
Chief Executive of Pinnacle Skills Dr. Yan Murry offered an overview of the project. He appreciated the ‘willingness of Jalukie Town Baptist Church to help establish the centre within the church premises,’ a press release from the organizers said on Thursday. It enabled the training to start without delay, it stated. Also, Dr Murry said that besides providing self-employment opportunities, efforts will be put to help trainees start micro enterprises through industry tie-ups. He said that training on construction will be provided for youths of the district too.
District Project Manager for Peren of the North East Rural Livelihood Project, Ruuvilie Kotsu, also spoke highlighting various activities initiated through the project of which skill training was a part. He expressed happiness that the training centre could be set-up in the district and students will not have to travel far to avail such an opportunity.
