DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, has issued an official notification informing the public that traffic movement for heavy motor vehicles (HMV) along the SARDP-NE Pfütsero–Phek road will remain closed until July 19.
The decision comes in light of the deteriorating road conditions caused by persistent landslides along the route and the ongoing road clearance and maintenance works being undertaken by the authorities concerned.
However, light motor vehicles (LMV) will be exempted from this restriction and allowed to ply along the affected stretch. The advisory further stated that the directive is issued for strict compliance to ensure the safety of commuters and facilitate uninterrupted maintenance efforts.
