DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Police Commissionerate has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the night carnival scheduled from December 6 to the 10th, organised by the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) in coordination with the district administration and the DCCI as part of the Hornbill Festival extension.

According to the advisory, vehicular movement along the stretch from Holy Cross Point to Clock Tower will be restricted daily from 4 pm to 11 pm during the five-day event. Parking will also not be allowed along the designated carnival venue after 4 pm, and any vehicle found parked in stall-marked areas will be towed or clamped and penalised.

All feeder roads connected to the stretch will remain barricaded and closed to traffic during the carnival hours.

Dimapur Police informed that roadside parking may be used at available spaces as long as it does not obstruct traffic flow.

The service will remain open until 11 pm from December 6 to the 10th for night carnival visitors.

Limited parking for officials, organisers and vehicles with designated passes will be available at the Holy Cross Higher Secondary School parking lot.

The police stated that the temporary restrictions will remain in force daily from 4 pm to 11 pm during the carnival period.
