Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): In view of the 4th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on August 8, Kohima police has issued traffic regulations as part of the security arrangement.
According to PRO Kohima police, no vehicle would be allowed parking by the roadside from 0600 hrs onwards during Assembly Sessions from BSNL telephone exchange till Classic Island; from Raj Bhavan till MS Classic Island; from Classic Island to Tinpati via Razhü point; and from Tinpati to Billy Graham Road via Don Bosco Junction.
It also stated that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply from Tinpati Junction to Assembly Secretariat via Don Bosco Junction. All heavy vehicles including government department buses should take Tinpati- High School-Merima- Secretariat road vice versa.
Heavy vehicles would also not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during Assembly Session from 0600 hrs till the session is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 0600 hrs (morning) during Assembly Session. It added that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to be parked along ‘D’ Block road.
Meanwhile, it cautioned that the police would tow away the defaulting vehicles and the charges would be borne by the vehicles owners.
