DIMAPUR: In view of the 1st session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly to be held from March 20 to the 28th, Kohima Police has issued traffic regulations to be enforced as part of the security arrangement.
A police report issued by PRO of Kohima Police stated that only vehicles with car passes bearing ‘X’ (Red letter with white background), ‘Y’ (Yellow letter with white background), ‘Assembly Logo’ with blue background, ‘LH’ (White letter with black background), ‘O’ (Green letter with white background) and ‘On Assembly Duty’ (Red letter with white background) would be allowed entry to the Assembly Secretariat.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]It added that no vehicle would be allowed parking by the roadside from 6 am onwards during Assembly sessions from BSNL Telephone Exchange till Classic Island, From Raj Bhavan till Classic Island, from Classic Island to Assembly Secretariat via TCP gate, Phool bari, Razhü point and High School, and from New CM official residence, Phezoucha to Assembly Secretariat.
Report also stated that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during Assembly session from 6 am till the session is over. It added that all loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 6 am during Assembly session.
It further informed that heavy vehicles would not be allowed parking along ‘D’ Block road.
While anticipating positive co-operation from the public, the police stated that defaulting vehicles would be towed away for which the towing charges would be borne by the vehicles owners.
