DIMAPUR — In view of the 25th Hornbill stone pulling ceremony on December 4, the Kohima-Mao National Highway-02 stretch from Jakhama military station to Kisama heritage village (2nd gate) would remain closed from 8:30 am to 1 pm.
In this regard, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kohima has issued traffic advisory in order to ensure smooth conduct of the stone pulling ceremony.
The advisory stated that all vehicles (passengers) coming from Manipur would be diverted via Viswema-Kidima prayer park-Kezocha-Chakhabama–New Secretariat–Meriema-IG stadium-T Khel model road and vice versa for Manipur bound vehicles coming from Dimapur side during the stone pulling ceremony.
It added that the NST shuttle bus coming from Kohima would continue to operate whereas shuttle bus service from Kigwema to Kisama would remain suspended during the stone pulling ceremony.
Kohima Police has sought cooperation and support from all citizens.
