Dimapur, April 23 (EMN): Following the announcement of the Dimapur district administration for opening of shops on odd - even mode at New Market and Hongkong Market starting from April 23, officials of the New Market Business Owners’ Association (NMBOA) led by its president, Kughali Chishi, along with the New Market GB, Khekishe Aye, had classified the shops located at New Market into odd - even system on April 22.

It may be mentioned here that the district administration had announced to operate the markets on odd and even system in order to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.

On April 23, the Dimapur ADC, H Atokhe Aye, accompanied by the New Market GB inspected the market to ensure smooth functioning of the shops as per the directives.

The GB cautioned that any shop found violating the directives like last year would be compelled to shut down and the key be handed over to the Dimapur Municipal Council.
