Trader assaulted in Dimapur

Eastern Mirror Desk Dimapur, Oct. 8: Two unknown miscreants reportedly assaulted a trader who runs a shop at Burma Camp in Dimapur on Monday afternoon. According to a reliable source, the assailants struck the shopkeeper below the left eye with the ‘barrel of a gun.’ Reportedly, the miscreants had arrived at the shop in the afternoon riding an unregistered motorcycle. The assault happened when the miscreants demanded money and the shopkeeper refused to pay. The victim was later taken to a private hospital in Dimapur. Further details could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
