The “Tour de Hills 3/ Jubilee Adventure Trail” Motor Rally organized by Adventure and Motorsports Association (AMAM) in collaboration with District Administration, MDSC and MDACC in commemoration of 125 years of Mokokchung Town will be flagged off from the Imkongmeren Sports Complex on the 4th of Nov’15 by the Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung. The rally comprises of two segment, namely competitive (TSD format) and non-competitive. The two-day rally will cover a total of about 300 km covering around 45 villages and touching all the 10 administrative blocks of the district. There will be a night halt at Chungtiayimsen village where all participants will pitch their own tents. Besides there will be a brief formal program followed by entertainment to be presented by MDACC and by DJ Tali besides Karaoke etc.
The next day, the rally will culminate at Imkongmeren Sports Complex before covering another leg of the rally. Along the whole stretch of the route, the convoy of vehicles will extend centenary greetings as well as extend invitation and distribute advertisement materials to all citizens in all the blocks inviting them to the grand celebration to be held at Mokokchung from 14th -16th Dec’15. In fact, the motor rally will be the official kickoff event for the grand celebration that is scheduled in the middle of December.
As such, the organizers will take care of everything from food to medical to breakdown assistance for the participants of both the categories; hence a registration fee of Rs. 4000/- is being levied from the participants irrespective of the format one participates. The AMAM having seeing the overwhelming response for participation has extended the dateline for standard entries to 31st Oct’15 so as to facilitate participants especially from outside the district to make them convenient for registration.
Moreover, the annual event of AMAM “3rd Mokokchung AutoX” will be held simultaneously on the 6th and 7th of Nov’15 at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. therefore through this press release, the AMAM once again calls upon all concerned to come and participate in this great event.
