Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): A newly constructed village gate and an agri-link road at Totsu village in Wokha district was inaugurated by Dr. TM Lotha, advisor for Treasury and Accounts, Labour and Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship on March 15.
Thungdeno Mozhui, Project Director of the Wokha DRDA, along with other officials including Wezope Kenye, deputy commissioner of Wokha; Bijamo, president of VDBs’ Union of Wokha district; Meribemo Kinghen, president of BJB Wokha; Nzano Kikon, president BJB Mahila of Wokha; members from village council and VDB from Wozhuro block, among others, attended the inaugural programme.
A press note issued by Totsu VDB secretary, Panka Ovung, stated that Dr. TM Lotha appreciated the villagers for ushering fast pace development of the new village. He urged the villagers to maintain unity for greater progress of the village and to work closely with the rural development department.
Also, he encouraged them to continue in their endeavour to develop the village and make it as a model village for other villages in Wokha district.
Also, DC Wezope Kenye advised the villagers to preserve all government properties as their own and further urged every individual be more responsible in their endeavour.
Guest of honour Thungdeno Mozhui lauded the villagers for all round development in the village. She also emphasised on proper utilisation of all VDB/ government funding in a judicious way.
