Dimapur, Jan. 26 (EMN): Commandant of Assam Rifles Training Centre and School (ARTC&S), Kishan Singh Rawat, has stressed upon the importance of progressive use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding publicity and implementation of the official language policy.
Rawat made this request at the annual meeting of Dimapur Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) held at ARTC&S, Dimapur, under his chairmanship on January 22. Thirty five members of central government offices located in Dimapur attended the meet.
Rawat also emphasised on motivational measures which could be resorted to for implementation of Hindi by means of incentive and appreciations in all central government offices. The chairman has applauded the efforts of the members of TOLIC Dimapur for their continuous efforts towards wide publicity of the official language.
Lt Colonel Bhavana Sharma, secretary TOLIC, welcomed all members, while Havildar Abhishek of ARTC&S brief on various aspects of the TOLIC meet.
Member representatives of various government offices presented their reports on the progress on implementation of Hindi in their sectors/ departments.
During the meet, the importance of progressive use of Hindi in central government offices was highlighted.
In the end, valuable suggestions and feedback were invited by the secretary, Lt. Col. Bhavana Sharma, which were discussed accordingly.
