Wokha, Nov. 5 (EMN): The Lotha community’s Thokhu festival celebrations in Wokha entered its second day on Sunday with YM Humtsoe, retired secretary to the government of Nagaland, attending the occasion as its special guest.
Speaking during the event, Humtsoe said that ‘humans are superior creations of God comparing with other creatures.’ He encouraged the gathering to continue to ‘touch the hearts of every living soul, connecting and bringing joy and unity.’
He urged the people to unite ‘with a heart of forgiveness and oneness and preserving the rich diversity of the Lotha traditions and cultures.’ He wished the people that the Tokhu festival bring reconciliation, forgiveness and abundant blessings for the community.
In the evening, a music event was held as part of the celebrations. C Vanchamo Ngullie, deputy director of the department of Land Resources attended the event as its special guest. He called upon the gathering to be ‘professional in their work and with determination.
Music groups Dream Catcher, Diversity, De Band and K3M performed during the programme.
