Dimapur, May 15 (EMN): Parliamentary Secretary for Municipal Affairs, R.Tohanba, who was on his official visit, inaugurated the Customary Court and Government High School (GHS) at Mangko EAC Headquarter on May 13.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Tohanba said Mangko EAC Headquarter has witness fast establishment of government building comparing to other EAC HQ under Yimchugru Area. To this he called upon the citizens to utilize and maintain as their own.
The Mangko EAC HQ will cover 14 villages under Mangko range, which can be convert into well established town if only all the concern stakeholders, public and various village council can extend co-operation to the Administration, stated Tohanba.
He urged the public of Mangko Range to settle in newly inaugurated EAC HQ in large number so that various department offices can be established to serve the public at their doorstep. He also clled upon them to maintain unity among village councils and also prioritise education in the area as education is the first step for development and to bring changes in the society for the better of all.
Short speeches were delivered by Zhelo, chairman Kiutsukiur Village Council; Kiumuhean, chairman of Shiponger Village Council; Keozih YTC and Ramji, head GB, Y/Aunru village Council.
A brief note on GHS profile was shared by Thrunso, Project Assistant, SSA/DMA Tuensang.
The program was chaired by SDEO, Shamator; invocation prayer was offered by R. Rhakila, Pastor of Shiponger Baptist Church; welcome note by Akang, President of Mangko Area GB’s Union; vote of thanks by Joseph, GB Mangko EAC HQ and benediction by Kiumuhean, Pastor of Kiutsukiur Baptist Church.
