Tobu students ban proxy teaching

[caption id="attachment_226706" align="alignnone" width="550"] Tobu area students’ union (TASU) officials are seen during its 35th federal meeting held in Pessao village on January 8.[/caption] Dimapur, Jan. 8 (EMN): Tobu area students’ union (TASU) has resolved to ban exportation of timber for commercial purpose as well as proxy teaching within its jurisdiction beginning from 2019. The decision to this effect was taken during its 35th federal meeting held in Pessao village on January 8. The assembly was presided by C Hoangkan, TASU speaker, in the presence of 13 federating units including representatives from GBs’ association, KNSK, timbers’ union, Konyak village council chairmen’s union and senior leaders of Tobu area. After threadbare discussion, the union decided to ban export of timber from Tobu area for commercial purpose with immediate effect. Besides, the union resolved not to entertain any bogus/proxy teaching within its jurisdiction from the current academic session. A press release issued by TASU general secretary, Davidson Ngushu, informed all the government appointed teachers and medical staff to be sincere in discharging their duties at their respective posting places. The federal meeting began with a prayer said by finance secretary of Pessao Baptist Church, while the welcome address was delivered by its president. Special number was presented by Pessao Changlu Students’ Union and the short speech was delivered by its former president Shammaoh.
