EMN Dimapur, December 20 Tobacco products and expired food items seized by the district tobacco control cell and the Food safety department were burnt in the CMO office complex on December 19. Shops and hotels are told to “be aware of COTPA 2003 and FSSA 2006 as the district health authority is determined to strictly enforce the two Acts in the district”. Traders who are yet to obtain FSSA certificates are also told to obtain them at the earliest from CMO’s office as action will be taken against defaulters.
