Dimapur, August 19 (EMN): The review meeting cum orientation on tobacco cessation for counsellors was held in District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) on August 18.
DNO NTCP, Dr. C Tetseo said counselling is the most important component of tobacco cessation programme and informed that the facility is now at Eden medical centre, Shalom home, DTC, NCD Clinic and TCC District Hospital Dimapur, for tobacco users who want to quit. He also informed that for those who need substitutes, the DTCC is also providing nicotine gum and patch free of cost.
Dr. C Tetseo appreciated CIHSR, Eden medical centre and Shalom home for taking up this additional responsibility.
The programme was attended by counsellors from CIHSR, Eden medical centre, Shalom home, DTC, NCD Clinic and TCC District Hospital Dimapur.
