DIMAPUR — Tsiesemiapfü Mechü Krotho (TMK) has strongly condemned the horrific crime of sexual assault committed upon a minor girl child on July 9 within the Tsiesema village jurisdiction.
“Such heinous crimes not only wound the minor physically but also cause immeasurable psychological scars upon the child survivor’s impressionable mind,” a TML press release stated adding that such crimes perpetuate a culture of fear and insecurity among women in general.

“No such case has taken place before in our jurisdiction and this horrifying incident has left its entire inhabitant shocked and shaken. We stand as one with the victim and empathise with the anguish felt by the family,” TMK added.
It further called upon all to commit to the cause of ensuring a society where every child and woman feels safe, secure and free to flourish.
