Mokokchung, July 10: The Titans clinched the title of the 1st Open Tennis Ball Summer Sixer cricket tournament by defeating Novandiv in the final match at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung.
The Titans won the match with five wickets still in hand. Their opening batsmen, Among and Longsa easily chased down the target in 18 balls.
In the first innings, Novandiv folded at a total of 74 runs for the loss of three wickets. Merentoshi took two wickets while Maila claimed the other one. The man of the match award was bagged by Among from Titan for scoring 36 runs. The man of the series was awarded to Longsasunep for his tally of 81 runs in three matches.
The tourney was organized by Aliba Students Union. Twelve teams from around Mokokchung participated in the event.
