Dimapur, Feb. 20 (EMN): The Tinsukia Division of N. F. Railway has been constantly coming up with new ways to ensure comfortable and luxurious travel experience for passenger by providing better facilities like online booking, e-ticketing and payment through digital money, stated a press release from the chief public relations officer, NF Railway in Maligaon.
The mobile application service ‘UTS Mobile App’ has been introduced over Tinsukia Division to facilitate online ticketing of unreserved ticket.
It has been launched over the Division on 25.10.2018 which will obviate the need for passengers to wait in queues.
‘Passenger Helpline’ display boards have been provided at all station which has proved beneficial for passengers. POS (Point of Sale) machines have been provided at 22 PRS locations to facilitate cashless transaction and to promote electronic billing.
Tinsukia Division has introduced ‘Hand Held Terminal’ (HHT) at 02 Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express which ensures absolute transparency as TTEs on board train can upload the position of berths available after allotment.
Automatic water vending machines have also been installed at Mariani, Namtiali, Mezenga, Nazira and Safrai stations. All the stations over Tinsukia division have been provided with LED lights for better illumination for better visibility of passengers during night time.
