Dimapur, March 27: Most part of Northeast India has been experiencing thundershowers for the past few days due to the arrival of pre-monsoon. A bulletin from the National Weather Forecasting Centre, India Meteorological department updated on Wednesday that the region will continue to experience similar weather at least for one more day.
“Scattered to fairly widespread rain/thundershowers are very likely over Northeast India along with isolated thunder squalls over the region during the next 24 hours,” informed the bulletin.
The report further stated that the activity is likely to pick up again during March 30 and 31st with fairly widespread to widespread rain/thundershowers along with isolated thundersquall/lightning over Northeast India and isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers over East India.
It also informed that day’s maximum temperatures are likely to increase by 2-4°C over Northwest India; by 2-3°C over East India; and by 1-2°C over West and Central India during next 2-3 days.
