Kohima, July 11 (EMN): Thujongolü Khusoh was declared winner of the open virtual solo competition which was conducted for young talents from Phek district.
The competition is being organised by Razu Dzüve Krotho (RDK), which consists of a peer group of high school friends.
Rukuta Lohe and Sakulü Lohe came in first runners-up and second runners-up respectively. The organiser also awarded Tsühü Kezo, aged 8, with 'Rising Star' title. Yamaha Artist Nise Meruno declared the result to the winners on Sunday.
Total of 70 persons have registered for the competition out of which 58 submitted their videos to participate. The elimination of first round was held on July 4.
Judges for the competition were Dr Hovithal Sothu, Project Director, Task Force for Music and Arts; Anuri L Nienu, International performing artist and Music Teacher, Baptist Theological College, Pfutsero; Vesavolu Rhakho, Musician.
The main purpose for the competition was to provide a platform, discover young talents and built their confidence to pursue their passion. It also envisages to encourage and to channel positive energy amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, said Nuthipru Nienu, one of the founding members of RDK.
The organisers thank contestants for taking part and for their cooperating throughout the competition and wishes them best in their future endeavour. The team also express their gratitude to the judges.
It further informed that they would initiate other programme such as career guidance and youth development programs in the future for which the team urge the well wishers to continue supporting them.
