DIMAPUR — The Threntsuvong Village Council, Kiphire, and its citizens have expressed appreciation to Advisor for Home Guards and Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services, and Relief and Rehabilitation, S Kiusumew Yimchunger, for his role in connecting Fakim road and the village.

The 7.5 km road built using INR 50 lakh under the UADB fund has ended 12 years of hardship for the village, according to an update received here, which also mentioned that on Monday, the village council organised a programme along with residents and Penkim Village Council to mark the inauguration of the road.

The event highlighted Kiusumew's service to constituents and the power of collective action.

As per the update, the road connectivity has opened up opportunities for economic growth, improved access to essential services, and strengthened bonds between neighbouring villages.
