Dimapur, April 30 (EMN): The lawless roads of Dimapur have claimed three youths, in another suspected hit-and-run case. On Sunday afternoon around 12:15 a tragic accident along National Highway 29 near Chumukedima in Dimapur claimed the lives of three youths.
The deceased were reportedly on a scooter when they were hit by a vehicle which, at the time of writing this news report, remains unidentified.
According to Traffic Police-Zone 2, there were no eyewitnesses to identify the vehicle which was reported to have been coming towards Dimapur.
The three youths were injured and were unconscious when they were taken to nearby HK hospital. However, they succumbed to the injury at the hospital, it was informed.
The deceased were identified as Kenyangluba Imsong, aged about 38 years old; Limalepzuk Longkumer, aged around 45 years old; and Limakumba Jamir, aged around 35 years old, all hailing from Longkong village under Mokokchung district.
The Dimapur and Kohima police control rooms have been alerted to ‘trace any suspect vehicle’ involved in the accident for information and a case has been registered informed the Traffic police.
The bodies of the three youths were handed over to their relatives.
