Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): Three young girls from Nagaland, who are stranded in Kerala due to the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of Covid-19, have sought assistance to get back home.
When Eastern Mirror contacted, the youths who are in their early twenties informed that they were from Mon district, and had gone to Kerala in July last year in search of work. Initially, they worked at Trivandrum before shifting to Palakkad in January this year. They informed that they have been working at the new place as waitresses at a restaurant since.

Currently, they are lodged at the “restaurant quarters” but have stopped working since April due to the lockdown. They shared that they wish to return home instead of living with uncertainty as the restaurant they are currently employed at could resort to job cutting due to the Covid-19 crisis.
